As the name suggests PentaTone is focused on high resolution multichannel recordings on the Super Audio CD format. Super Audio CD offers better sound quality and is compatilbile with the standerd CD format at the same time. From multichannel to stereo PentaTone delivers pure musical enjoyment.
"When I was asked by MediaTech Ltd. to compile a demonstration Super Audio CD for their new Ellipse speaker, I felt proud and honoured.
Having listened to these fabulous speakers, I was eager to come up with the best compilation of classical music, knowing that the high quality we aim for in our recording would be reproduced faithfully on these speakers, down tho the last detail.
I have tried to make a compilation that covers all genres of classical music, in order to give you a complete idea of the performance of these speakers. Ath the same time, I wanted you to enjoy this compilation SA-CD from beginning to edn, as if if you were listening to the music live at a concert."

"Dear listeners,
As a balance engineer for Polyhymnia - a recording company which specializes in classical music - I am always looking for the best speaker with which to work. Although there are many speakers one the market, only a few are good enough for professional purposes.
Working with the Ellipse, however, there is no doubt that what you hear is what you have on tape. After several intense listening sessions, during which I played only my own familiar recordings, I was extremely impressed with this speaker. The repertoire I played ranged between piano solo, full orchestra, chamber music, large-scale opera and a cappella choir. Not only did the music sound exactly as I remembered it from the recording sessions, it also left me with the same emotional reaction.
As a professional, I tend at times to focus too strongly on tiny imperfections in my recordings. With it unsurpassed ability to reveal detail, the Ellispe confronted me with every single one of them, even the ones I had already forgotten about... Providing an enormously deep and wide sound stage, spot-on tonal balance, a smooth treble, a warmly detailed mid-range, and a fabulously clean and deep bass, this speaker is just perfect.
Clearly, music was the single objective the Audio Resolution team had in mind when designig and building this speaker. At Polyhymnia, music is also the driving force behind our work, as is clearly demonstrated when listening to the sampler."
